1.1. Responsibilities of the Artist (Seller)

The artist or professional art-market participant who offers an artwork on the Artmaster.fr platform is responsible for:

  • providing accurate information about the artwork;
  • ensuring that the artwork corresponds to the description published on the platform;
  • guaranteeing the authenticity of the artwork;
  • providing the necessary documentation, including the certificate of authenticity;
  • preparing professional and secure packaging of the artwork;
  • ensuring the protection of the artwork during transport;
  • selecting the carrier;
  • shipping the artwork to the buyer within the agreed timeframe;
  • providing tracking information;
  • arranging transport insurance when necessary.

The artist remains the owner of the artwork until the completion of the sale and remains responsible for fulfilling all obligations related to their role as seller.


1.2. Responsibilities of SAS 9 Vies

SAS 9 Vies is responsible for:

  • the operation and management of the Artmaster.fr platform;
  • promoting artworks presented by artists;
  • increasing the visibility of artworks among collectors and art buyers;
  • supporting the commercial relationship between artists and buyers;
  • facilitating the exchange of information necessary for the completion of transactions;
  • processing payments in accordance with the cooperation agreement;
  • applying the 30% commission provided for in the cooperation agreement;
  • assisting in the resolution of disputes between the parties as an intermediary.

SAS 9 Vies does not act as the seller of the artworks and is not responsible for:

  • packaging of artworks;
  • transportation and delivery;
  • damage occurring during transport;
  • the conformity of the artwork with the buyer’s expectations when the information provided by the seller is accurate and complete.

1.3. Responsibilities of the Buyer

The buyer is responsible for:

  • providing accurate delivery information;
  • accepting delivery within the applicable timeframe;
  • checking the condition of the packaging and the artwork upon receipt;
  • informing the seller promptly of any damage, defect, or non-conformity;
  • complying with the return procedures when exercising the right of withdrawal.

1.4. Responsibilities of the Carrier

The carrier is responsible for the proper handling and delivery of the artwork during transport in accordance with applicable transport regulations.

In the event of damage occurring during transportation, the buyer and the seller shall cooperate in order to resolve the situation.

SAS 9 Vies may facilitate communication and the exchange of information between the parties, without replacing the seller or the carrier and without assuming responsibility for transportation.
